Our Story
Hi there! I'm Rocky, and I'm not just any bear - I'm the official sidekick of Hope Rocks and a proud snuggler, cheerleader, and message-delivery expert.
I'm based on a very special bear named Teddy, who's been through everything with my best buddy Brayden - surgeries, MRIs, hospital stays, even chemo. Teddy has been hugged so much, he's a little floppy and super soft. He's been loved that much.
Brayden is the real hero of this story. He was just 12 when the doctors found a brain tumor, and he's been so brave ever since. Before his first big surgery, Brayden got a special video message from one of his favorite musicians, Johannes from the band Avatar. That video made him smile, laugh, and feel so strong. He watched it over and over - especially when things were scary. It helped him feel seen. Celebrated. Loved.
And guess what? That's exactly why Hope Rocks was created! Me and my team (aka Brayden, his dad Josh, and his mom Jamie) want to bring messages that rock to other kids going through tough stuff - just like Brayden. Whether it's from a favorite musician, actor, or sports star, we believe a personal message can bring huge hope in small moments.
So here I am, Rocky the Bear, ready to help spread joy, comfort, and encouragement - one message at a time.
